Abstract

Work ethic is the values and principles that form the foundation of a person's perspective on work. The Bible, especially the Book of Genesis 1, provides an example of God's work ethic through the creation of the universe. God's work ethic is characterized by order, team work, solidity, perseverance, perfection and rest. This exposition of the Book of Genesis 1 will explain how God's work ethic can be applied in human life. This exposition provides a useful contribution to the Christian congregation and can be applied in daily life in the context of work.
