In the midst of the development of a world that is increasingly complex and full of technological, communication, and cultural changes, the younger generation of Christians in responding to vocations is faced with great challenges. The attitude to maintain and strengthen the faith of the younger generation is an important concern in mentoring and direction for coaches, pastors, and churches. In this study, the researcher focuses on strengthening faith in the midst of a changing world: a perspective of 2 Timothy 2:13-17 for young Christians, which provides important guidance on perseverance in doctrine and faith, and the impact of neglecting the truth. This study aims to explore how the principles contained in 2 Timothy 2:13-17 can be effectively implemented for young Christians to eliminate the challenges of the times. The author uses a descriptive qualitative research method with a Bible-based literature research approach as the main source by analysing the text of 2 Timothy 2:13-17 and published journal articles that intersect with the subject matter. The results of this study can provide relevant and practical insights for the younger generation to remain steadfast in faith and continue to grow in the knowledge of Christ in the midst of a changing world.
Abstrak
Di tengah perkembangan dunia yang semakin kompleks dan penuh dengan perubahan teknologi, komunikasi, dan budaya generasi muda Kristen dalam merespon panggilan diperhadapkan tantangan besar. Sikap untuk mempertahankan dan memperkokoh iman generasi muda menjadi perhatian penting dalam pembimbingan dan pengarahan oleh pembina, hamba Tuhan, dan gereja. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti berfokus memperkokoh iman di tengah dunia yang penuh perubahan: perspektif 2 Timotius 2:13-17 untuk generasi muda Kristen, yang memberikan petunjuk peting mengenai ketekunan dalam doktrin dan iman, serta dampak mengabaikan kebenaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana prinsip-prinsip yang terkandung dalam 2 Timotius 2:13-17 dapat diimplementasikan secara efektif untuk generasi muda Kristen mengeliminasi tantangan zaman. Penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan literatur research kepustakaan berbasis Alkitab sebagai sumber utama dengan menganalisis teks 2 Timotius 2:13-17 dan artikel jurnal yang terpublikasi yang bersinggungan dengan pokok bahasan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan wawasan yang relevan dan praktis untuk generasi muda agar tetap teguh dalam iman dan terus bertumbuh dalam pengenalan akan Kristus di tengah dunia yang terus berubah.
